Simple Apple Crisp

Warm apple pie conjures up memories of holiday dinners, vanilla ice cream and, sadly, that R-rated scene from “American Pie.”

After you get your mind out of the gutter, throw together this easy apple crisp that’s a healthy alternative to a dessert classic.

What You Need

4 Granny Smith Apples, cut into 1/2 inch chunks
1 tablespoon Earth Balance
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons agave nectar
1 cup KIND Snacks Clusters
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

How to Make It

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a baking dish with nonstick baking spray. Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl; gently toss to combine. Transfer to prepared baking dish; bake for 20 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm.

This recipe sounds good but what is Earth Balance and what is a good substitute for it?
